Adele has just released her latest album — her third studio album and the first in five years — on Friday and according to reports, she could break the record of selling over two million copies in its first week.

According to Billboard, the British singer is set to achieve the record of selling at least 2.5 million copies within only the first week in the era of Nielsen Music tracking.

During the day of the album release on Nov. 20, 900,000 copies were sold on iTunes store, reports stated.

CNN gathered that Nielsen's tracking starts from Friday until Thursday every week. Adele's "25" will conclude its week on Nov. 26.

The report from Billboard will be generated on Nov. 29, once Nielsen has finalized the data.

According to Billboard, the current record holder for largest album sales within a week is 'N Sync, with their album "No Strings Attached" released in 2000.

Meanwhile, it appears that the prediction for Adele's album is no surprise, considering she is, after all, an extremely talented singer/songwriter under the age of 30.

With her anticipated success, the "Hello" hitmaker doesn't need streaming services in order for her new album to get more recognition.

Prior to the release of "25," the New York Times reported that Adele and her management decided not to release the album to streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music. The news outlet gathered that the artist herself was personally involved in making such decision.

On the other hand, Spotify had a say on Adele's limited album release.

"We love and respect Adele, as do her 24 million fans on Spotify. We hope that she will give those fans the opportunity to enjoy '25' on Spotify alongside '19' and '21' very soon," the digital music streaming service said in a statement.

This news may be a huge disappointment to many of her fans, but as Telegraph reported, Adele was not being selfish. She simply deserves to be paid for her brilliance and hard work in the music industry.
