Capcom's novel adventure video game "Ace Attorney" is coming to the Nintendo Switch. It has been confirmed that there will be a total of three "Ace Attorney" games to be released for the hybrid gaming console.
Capcom is planning to develop and release new video games for the Nintendo Switch next year. During an interview with the Jiji, Capcom's chief operating officer Haruhiro Tsujimoto mentioned that "Ace Attorney" titles are included in their list of games in development.
Kotaku UK reported that Capcom will be releasing three separate "Ace Attorney" video games soon. The publication also explained that the two initial releases will be a compilation of previous games. The two games will be released between April and October 2018.
The first "Ace Attorney" compilation video game will feature the "Phoenix Wright" saga which includes the first-ever edition of the series, "Justice for All" and "Trials and Tribulations." The second game will be a compilation of "Apollo Justice" and "Phoenix Wright" editions. Meanwhile, a new storyline will be introduced in the third and final game. No further information about the final video game was revealed, including an actual release date.
With this announcement, fans are excited for more information about the three upcoming video games.
"Ace Attorney" was first introduced for the Game Boy Advance with "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney." The game was released in October 2001 and was well-received by fans and critics. Capcom then released new editions of the game for several platforms like Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS and Wii. Capcom also released versions of the game for iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows.
Most of the "Ace Attorney" games had received impressive ratings from critics. "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" has an 81 percent score on Metacritic. "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All" received a 7.8 out of 10 score from IGN.
