What’s In The Bible?: an exciting new release

From the man behind VeggieTales comes an innovative, exciting new venture the like of which you’ve never seen before.

‘What’s In The Bible?’ raises the bar on Children’s resources, bringing the Bible to life for a whole new generation of kids through livings rooms around the world.

And where VeggieTales became a massive phenomenon – making its way into one in three US homes in the 1990s – What’s In The Bible? promises to go even deeper.

What’s In The Bible? is many things; a riotous, inspirational, impressive and entirely valuable approach to teaching children about the cornerstone of Christian discipleship and the most important book ever written.

This time around, instead of computer animated vegetables, Vischer has chosen an array of puppets this time to take the stage.

From host Buck Denver through to Sunday School Lady, a couple of weird looking English guys who can’t stop talking about ponies, a scientist and assorted preachers, pastors and respectable old ladies, Vischer has created his most engaging range of characters to date.

Phil Vischer, creator of VeggieTales, is clear about the purpose for the project:

"I think VeggieTales did a good job teaching individual Bible stories and Christian values. What we’re trying to do now, though, is connect all those dots to show kids the big picture. Instead of teaching Christian values, we’re teaching Christianity. Instead of teaching individual Bible stories, we’re teaching the entire Bible."

It’s a bold claim, and the material pulls no punches. It aims high and reaches – the content being so good the kids just don’t notice quite how much they’re getting taught.
