'The Walking Dead' season 6 updates: Show to inject a psychologist to the bunch?

"The Walking Dead" is in search of an individual to fill in the role of a psychologist named Allison. A casting call, obtained by Wetpaint, for the hit post-apocalyptic thriller from AMC revealed that Rick and the gang will welcome a new "charming" personality to the ever-fluctuating bunch.

Allison, as the casting call describes, is on her late 20s to early 40s. She is described as a "smart, artful, and charming psychologist who quickly turns awkward and messy when it comes to her personal life. She'd much rather stay safely inside her comfort zone, but the true test of her mettle comes when the comfort's gone and the stakes are life and death. She's not cynical and really cares about people."

The chosen one for the job will be a recurring guest who will appear in multiple episodes of the series. Allison will debut in episode 2 of "The Walking Dead" season 6 and will also put in an appearance in episode 5. But just what business will she have in Rick's walker-overrun world?

It is believed that Allison will serve as the live-action equivalent of a character from the Robert Kirkman comic books named Dr. Denise Cloyd. For one, media outlets believe that this casting call is another one of those instances where AMC uses different names to cover up the real character and avoid potential spoilers.

Besides, Dr. Cloyd's medical knowledge would come in handy, especially with the group's current situation. Before season 5 of "The Walking Dead" ended, Pete was killed off. With the loss of a resident surgeon, the expertise of Dr. Cloyd, who stays in Alexandria Safe Zone as well, becomes a necessity.

With Cloyd presumably onboard, there are reports that "The Walking Dead" season 6 will have her love interest as well. In the comics, the psychologist couples up with Heath, assumed to be the character AMC is calling Delvin who believes that people can be "decent" despite their stupidity.
