'Walking Dead' season 6 spoilers, plot: Abraham's death rumored, first look at Glenn, Maggie, Daryl

New stills from "The Walking Dead" season 6 courtesy of Entertainment Weekly provide a first look at some of the characters in AMC's post-apocalyptic series. In one photo, Daryl lugs his crossbow with no threat in sight, and in separate snaps, Glenn and Maggie point a gun at something unseen.

According to the aforementioned site, Maggie is inside Alexandria so either walkers or The Wolves have breached the walled community or someone in the neighborhood is driving the actions of Pete, who Rick had to kill last season.

As for Glenn, the site mentions that if the cuts on his face are the results of his brawl with Nicholas, then season 6 will pick up right where it left off in season 5. It could also be due to one of those times when Glenn had to take care of another charging flesh-eater.

Daryl's look in the photo — the attitude, the leather jacket and the hairdo are still in place — makes Den of Geek think that the season will immediately continue with what happened in season 5. This means fans will see how Morgan jumps in to clash with Rick's ways and beliefs.

Of course, fans still fear for their favorite characters' lives and the subject of death and the fear of it has never been this intense, knowing that there are far more dangerous threats than famished zombies looking for some snack.

Spoiling Dead Fans reports that Michael Cudlitz's character Abraham will be in big trouble come season 6. According to the site, the actor filmed a scene wherein military walkers attacked him after he stole a weapon from one of them. Onlookers said that as the zombies zeroed in to make a meal out of Abraham, Cudlitz screamed, and the scene was punctuated by a headshot from an unknown character, after which Cudlitz was dragged off camera.

Anything can happen in the series and certainly, anyone could die. Fans also dread that Daryl is the next one to go but that remains to be seen until the new season premieres in October.

Meanwhile, fans should be able to enjoy spoilers and the much-awaited "The Walking Dead" season 6 trailer when the show visits the San Diego Comic-Con on July 10.
