New details about "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U have come to light, care of producer Eiji Aonuma. During an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu (translated by Kotaku), he made sure he kept fans up to speed in the development of the game and doused their worries about the much-awaited title.

"The game has really taken shape, and things have gotten easier," Aonuma said. "That means things are progressing well," the game producer added.

Gameplay-wise, he also teased that fans will experience "something new" in "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U, comparing the change to that of "Ocarina of Time's."

"I think the base of our secret sauce has always been 'Ocarina of Time.' But this time, the change in flavor will be like going from Japanese food to Western style food. Perhaps, players will be surprised," Aunoma went on to tease.

Not much is known about "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U at the moment but word on the street is that a Nintendo NX version of the game will be released alongside the Wii U version, which is confirmed to be released later this year. A specific release date for the game is yet to be locked in.

Aunoma, however, revealed that he and his team are still "busy" working on "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U. He hinted that they are in the final stages of the production.

The game producer stated that he was the one in charge of the character dialogues and in-game text in "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U, which are the same aspects he recalled he worked on as they finished up 2011's "The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword."

This means that "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U is also close to reaching its complete form, just in time for a 2016 launch. Sadly, it seems that Aonuma is not ready to break down the release date specifics yet. What's sure is that his team is on the right track.
