Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum now wants to do more than just defund abortion service provider Planned Parenthood.

Following the release of the seventh undercover video by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) showing technicians from Planned Parenthood dismembering a baby with a beating heart, Santorum now wants to prosecute the officials of the supposedly women's healthcare provider for murdering innocent babies.

"They must not just be defunded; they must also be prosecuted," the former Pennsylvania senator told Life Site News. "When will this horror show end? What we are seeing day after day is the destruction of innocent little babies. This is murder! Who are we as a society if we continue to let this go unpunished?"

Santorum slammed President Obama for turning a blind eye towards Planned Parenthood's illegal trafficking of foetal organs, saying this must be because the health service provider donated $15 million during Obama's 2012 campaign.

"I can understand why President Obama and his Justice Department sit on their hands and let these crimes continue. It was Barack Obama who voted against the Illinois state version of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act," he said.

At least two other Republican presidential hopefuls—Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Senator Ted Cruz—are also committed to prosecute Planned Parenthood should they win the elections. Among the three, Cruz is in the lead.

Meanwhile, the protests against Planned Parenthood continued to mount. Two organisations—Priests for Life African-American Outreach (PFL AAO) and the National Black Pro-life Coalition—have teamed up to rally against Planned Parenthood across the country on Aug. 22, according to Charisma News, and they be conducting 300 protests on 47 different states across America.

That same day, they will also launch a national week of prayer and fasting in hopes of putting a stop to abortion and other nefarious acts of Planned Parenthood.

Alveda King, director of PFL AAO said, "Through the years, AAO has led prayer vigils to end abortion and close the killing centres. In light of current PPH expose videos by the CMP, we clearly know that our prayers are needed more than ever."
