Ramona Singer of "The Real Housewives of New York" has just released a new tell-all book detailing her ex-husband Mario's infidelities. He allegedly cheated on her with a younger woman, but in a new interview, the reality TV star said that she has forgiven him and is looking forward to a new chapter in her life.

In an interview with Page Six, the reality star said that forgiveness is very important.

"I forgive [Mario]. Sometimes people lose their way and you can't help them find it," said Singer.

The ex-couple separated and briefly reconciled in early 2014. The Bravo star ultimately broke things off for good last summer amid rumors that he was cheating on her. According to Singer, her husband's betrayal "completely blindsided" her. She added that she realized that their relationship was completely over last August.

"Two people need to try to make a relationship work and if you're both not in it to win it, it's not going to happen," she said.

She revealed that what caused her husband to stray was her "RHONY" fame and that she was getting more and more recognized everywhere they went.

"I can't go anywhere without someone recognizing me and that bothered him," said the 58-year-old star, adding that men like to feel important and that it takes a very secure man to be able to live with that.

After her painful divorce, she now knows the qualities that she should look for in a man. Singer said that she wants someone who won't be "threatened" by her or her fame. She added that she needs someone who has children in college or older and who has a great sense of humor. She also said that it's a definite plus if he knows his way around a kitchen.

Singer confirmed that she is dating but is not in a relationship.

"I'm dating — not putting any labels into anything," she said.
