Subscribers of PS Plus now wonder what Sony has in store for them in the month of April. However, gamers will have to wait until next week to learn about the free titles to be given away next month. 

After a fan asked via Twitter about the announcement of the free games, PlayStation Europe Blog Manager Fred Dutton replied that "it should be sometime next week." 

It is already confirmed though that PS3 players will be getting the 2012 stealth action-adventure video game "Dishonored" for April. The game was developed by Arkane Studios and it was Bethesda who let it out in the open for the gaming world to see. 

Its inclusion in the April lineup was accidentally divulged by Sony while it was in the middle of announcing its free games for March to its followers on Twitter. 

"Dishonored is coming to PlayStation Plus (PS3) in April," PlayStation Europe tweeted earlier this month. "Sorry for the confusion this month - we pulled the trigger too early!" 

It remains to be seen what PS games will be for the taking next month but subscribers of the program expect massive AAA-quality titles to come around. Microsoft has set the bar pretty high by giving away "Rayman Legends" and doubling up its free offerings for April. 

If Microsoft did it, PS Plus subscribers trust that Sony can as well. After all, it would not want to be second to the tech giant. Nevertheless, "Dishonored" is a good start. If Sony is handing it out to players of its last-gen console without charge, a game or two of the same caliber could be on the cards.

In the meantime, Sony leaves members of the program with "Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee — New 'n' Tasty!" and "Valiant Hearts: The Great War" for PS4, "Papo & Yo" and "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments" for PS3 and "OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood" for both PS Vita and PS4. The games make up the free game lineup for March.
