'Pretty Little Liars' season 6 spoilers: Is Alison thinking that Charles is just 'frAmed' in episode 8?

After having been portrayed as the Liars' creepy, deranged tormentor since the season 5 finale, Charles was shown in a different light in this week's episode of "Pretty Little Liars." Viewers saw his sentimental side as he attempted to celebrate his birthday with his brother, until things went awry.

In the episode titled "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Charles invited Jason (Drew Van Acker) for his birthday party. However, their sister Alison (Sasha Pieterse) thought that it was just a ploy to hurt them and her friends, so she decided to call 911 to confess that she knows who "A" is, and alerted the Rosewood Police Department so they could finally catch the person who had been threatening her and her friends for a long time.

But by the end of the episode, Ali and Jason discovered an old video playing in their basement. It showed the birthday party of a young boy who their mother introduced to them as their cousin. They recognized him as Charles. They also found a note for Jason from Charles, saying that he just wanted to trust him.

Is Charles as dangerous as what his father told Jason and Ali, or is he just longing for the acceptance of his family?

In the next episode of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 titled "FrAmed," Ali will begin doubting if Charles is really a bad person.

Meanwhile, the Liars are also affected by the latest events that happened between them and Charles. Aria (Lucy Hale) might lose her chance to see her first photo displayed at an art gallery because her mom Ella (Holly Marie Combs) does not want to let her out of the house, while Hanna (Ashley Benson) becomes more reluctant to use her college scholarship money because it came from the DiLaurentises. Worse, Aria, Hanna, Emily (Shay MItchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) might lose their chance of attending their last prom at the Rosewood High School because the faculty members are concerned about the safety of the other students.

Pretty Little Liars season six episode eight will be aired by ABC Family on Tuesday, July 28.
