Although only recently unveiled, the upcoming games "Pokémon Sun and Moon" have become much-anticipated among "Pokémon" franchise fans, along with "Pokémon GO." Gameplay improvements may be some of the reasons why as it is said that Nintendo will be introducing playable vehicles in the upcoming handheld game.

According to Neurogadget, Nintendo is known to introduce new gameplay elements for each release from the "Pokémon" franchise. One of the new features that may be included in the upcoming game is the inclusion of unlockable and usable vehicles.

When Nintendo launched the original "Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby," the game introduced the concept of running shoes in the Pokémon training sim game. The succeeding versions in the franchise included a tweak or two, such as "Pokémon X and Y" allowing players to speed up their travelling by using skates, ten times faster than the previous titles.

This makes it highly plausible that the publisher will again introduce a new travel-related feature in "Pokémon Sun and Moon," which may include playable vehicles to hasten transferring to other towns.

However, the feature remains unconfirmed, as Nintendo and "Pokémon Sun and Moon" developer Game Freak is keeping silent on what the game entails. However, some details may float online starting next month, as franchise follower Serebii reported that "Pokémon Sun and Moon" will be featured in Japanese gaming magazine "CoroCoro's" issue for next month, scheduled to publish on April 15.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" are two of the titles to be released this year for the 20th anniversary of the "Pokémon" franchise. Aside from the handheld game, other expected titles for the series include the much-awaited augmented reality game "Pokémon GO," as well as the heavily rumored "Pokémon Z."

In addition to the game releases, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have also scheduled a number of Pokémon-related bonuses such as in-game items and free Pokémon for hardcore fans.
