It looks like there is still more than a year of waiting to put up with before diehard gamers and fanatics can play Square Enix and Disney's all-time favorite action cross-over role-playing game.

According to Amazon, as cited by various media outlets, the third installment of the much-loved "Kingdom Hearts" franchise, "Kingdom Hearts III," will show up in December 2015. This does not come as a shocker, as the release date of the new title always points to the end of 2015.

It has been a year since the collaborative developers announced the development of "Kingdom Hearts III" during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013. Tetsuya Nomura was asked to drop "Final Fantasy XV" in order to have him time around the clock to work on the latest installment of "Kingdom Hearts." Since then, the game director has been trying to go beyond the restrictions and limitations to be able to integrate the most diverse character roster possible. Fans could only expect an impressive and rather dreamy assemblage in view of Nomura's effort to intertwine the "Marvel" universe and the "Star Wars" world with "Kingdom Hearts."

Speaking of which, rumors suggest that the sassy iron-clad billionaire superhero will grace a cameo appearance in the KH cosmos. KDrama Stars revealed that Iron Man will be seen persuading game protagonist Sora in overcoming Darth Vader just as the credits of the game slide up.

On the other hand, Christian Post mentioned the possible presence of a character from Disney's runaway success "Frozen".

"Kingdom Hearts III" picks up directly from "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance." In the new installment, Sora will embark on a mission to foil Master Xehanort's dark plans to open Kingdom Hearts with a recreated x-blade. Players will also have to protect the hearts of Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Xion, and Roxas in the game.

"We're proceeding along with which worlds we'll be selecting for the game," Nomura said in an interview with Famitsu via IGN. "It's the final episode in the 'Dark Seeker' saga that began with the original Kingdom Hearts, and it'll depict the final battle with Xehanort."

Official announcements are still in the sticks but gamers can look forward to seeing Sora, Donald, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku in "Kingdom Hearts 3" in December 2015.
