King & Country and Newsboys are just two of the leading nominees for the third annual K-LOVE Fan Awards, which is slated on May 31, 2015.
K-LOVE Radio is the leading Christian music radio network with an average of 14 million people tuning into the station weekly.
The annual awards show will take place at the Grand Ole Opray House in Music City, and will be the highlight of the K-LOVE Awards Weekend and Ultimate Fan Experience.
King & Country and Newsboys each had four nominations in different categories, including Artist of the Year. Other nominees for the category are Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, MercyMe and TobyMac.
The full list of nominees can be found in the K-LOVE website.
K-LOVE said that it was the first time that nominees were selected and will be voted for completely by fans. Voting for the 2015 K-LOVE Fan Awards will open at Midnight ET on May 1 and will close at Midnight ET on May 30. Meanwhile, nominees for Film/Television Impact, Book Impact and Sports Impact Awards will be announced at a later date.
Another big announcement was the unveiling of K-LOVE TV. The network will soon be launching a subscription based TV channel this Spring, which is a big leap for the faith-based entertainment industry.
"We're excited to provide K-LOVE fans with a gathering place where they can be fully immersed in a community that they love," said reality television pioneer and TAPP CEO Jon Klein.
"The artists they'll meet and the stories they'll watch on K-LOVE TV will pull members deeper than ever into the music, message and meaning of the Christian songs and artists they adore. We'll offer premium content and provide subscribers ongoing opportunities to interact with fellow K-LOVE fans and radio personalities."
"We are thrilled about K-LOVE TV creating another avenue for fans to connect and go deeper with K-LOVE, their faith and the artists they love, " added Mike Novak, K-LOVE President and CEO.
