Marvel and Netflix definitely have a lot of surprises in store for superhero fans as both companies are set to release a number of new shows that are all set in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Among the different shows, one of the most awaited comebacks is the second season of the hit television series, "Jessica Jones."

According to the latest reports regarding the show's new episodes, Jessica Jones (played by Krysten Ritter) may find herself meeting a new partner in the form of a female character from the television show "Luke Cage." Jones' alleged new ally will apparently be the Harlem NYPD detective Misty Knight (played by Simone Missick).

Both characters are reportedly going to be meeting for the first time in the planned crossover miniseries, "The Defenders."

The rumors are based on recently leaked images that have reportedly been taken on the set of the crossover series. The image shows Misty and Jessica meeting for the first time, and from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like their first encounter will be a friendly one.

Jessica and Misty do have a lot of things in common, including their connection with Luke Cage (played by Mike Colter). That connection may be playing a big factor in how they end up working together.

Reports have also claimed that the partnership of Jones and Knight seems to coincide with show's overall theme of women empowerment. Putting together two strong female main characters in one setting will reportedly be perfect for a show that will also be directed by an all-female roster of directors.

The show's showrunner — Melissa Rosenberg —  has recently revealed that they are still pretty much in the middle of completing the scripts for the new episodes, but that the show was still on track to be released in 2018.

In the meantime, fans will still have several other shows to look forward to, including new episodes for "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage," and "The Defenders."

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
