“James Bond 24” to premiere in November 2015, casting continues for new Bond girl and “Hinx” villain

With the last James Bond movie "Skyfall", starring Daniel Craig, going beyond the $1 billion mark in the world box office, the franchise will be returning with the actor reprising his role and Sam Mendes directing the latest film, "James Bond 24."

In an interview with Vulture, Craig talked about his recent movie "Betrayal", co-starring his wife Rachel Weisz, as well as his previous experiences with "Skyfall". He also opened up about what fans can expect from the latest Bond movie.

"Hopefully we'll reclaim some of the old irony and make sure it doesn't become pastiche," the 46-year-old actor commented, referring to what he and Mendes aim to do with the next film.

"I can't do shtick, I'm not very good at it," Craig continued. "Unless it kind of suddenly makes sense. Does that make sense? I sometimes wish I hammed it up more, but I just can't do it very well, so I don't do it."

The casting agency for the "James Bond 24" film has recently been looking for a new Bond girl and an iconic villain named "Hinx." The casting call stated:

"We are looking to follow in the tradition of JAWS and ODDJOB in finding an iconic baddy.

Hinx (Male, 30 - 45)

Ideally over 6'2? Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive. We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background.

Height: 180cm - 195cm"

Original characters, such as Bond's boss "M" played by Judi Dench in "Skyfall," and secretary Miss Moneypenny previously portrayed by Naomie Harris, have been slotted to be re-cast. More world travels for Bond are expected as well, Enstarz has reported. 

Mendes took the directorial duties for the twenty-third "Bond" film and subsequently engaged in stage theatre production. After taking such break, he accepted the offer of the franchise's producers to return to the movie series and work on the next "Bond" movie.

"James Bond 24" has been set to hit the big screen on Nov. 6, 2015.
