Apple patrons may have just gotten their first look at what could be the iPhone X Plus' display.

A pair of photos claimed to be of the rumored 6.5-inch model's screen and digitizer surfaced on China's MacX forums, with the source claiming the parts originate from an LG facility in Vietnam as part of a "trial run of production equipment. " The images have since been deleted but Slash Gear was able to obtain copies before they were taken down.

According to the publication, the first image shows the handset's digitizer held in someone's hand. Though unclear, the size appears to be bigger than the current iPhone X's 5.8-inch. The now recognizable "notch," where the camera sensor and Face ID tech are housed, is also present. There have been some rumors that the next-generation iPhone X will sport a smaller notch sitting atop the front display, but it is hard to tell whether that's the case from the leaked snaps.

Meanwhile, the second photo features a set of four assembled digitizer and display components. It does not give away much, save for the earpiece slot and sensors along the top.

Note that this is still unconfirmed. The photos do not come from the most reputable of sources either, so patrons should treat them with a healthy grain of salt for now. However, it does line up with other rumors of an iPhone X Plus.

Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI securities analyst and one of the world's top Apple insider, previously said the tech giant would release three iPhones this year. Two of those would be follow-ups to the iPhone X with OLED displays while the remaining one would be a low-cost variant with an LCD screen.

Samsung is the exclusive supplier of OLED displays for the iPhone X. However, LG is tipped to become the supplier for the so-called iPhone X Plus this year. The South Korean company has just opened an OLED module factory in Vietnam, explaining the alleged origin of the photos.
