With the success of iPhone X, Apple is tipped to incorporate several of the premium handset's features to its upcoming releases, its tablet line included.

Next year, the iPad Pro is reportedly getting a few upgrades that are heavily borrowed from the 10th-anniversary smartphone. However, it is excluding the Organic Light-emitting Diode (OLED) panel and the polarizing iPhone X notch.

The tech giant is said to be sticking with Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) for the new model as they are facing technical and financial constraints that prevent the same display technology transition that the iPhone X made this year.

The iPad Pro will be redesigned with a new aspect ratio for the display. According to Know Your Mobile, it will be a pseudo-edge-to-edge setup. This means Apple will be able to fit whatever sensors it needs into the bezel, eliminating the need for a notch.

It can be recalled that the notch or the sensor housing has been the most polarizing design in the iPhone X. While some appreciate the extra bit of visible space, some complain it can be disturbing as well.

Despite the lack of the notch in the upcoming iPad models, the new biometric system that lets users unlock the device with a glance of their eyes and face is still almost guaranteed. KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo seems certain that Apple is integrating the Face ID in all devices moving forward, following its debut on the iPhone X.

As usual, there should be improvements on the central processing unit (CPU), memory, and connectivity with the new models. If these predictions turn out accurate, this should be what the iPad would look like, per iDropNews:

There is no word on the release of the iPad Pro 2018 yet, although it is expected to arrive around the end of the first quarter or beginning of Q2 next year.
