'The Incredibles 2' release date: Movie logo out, film to premiere in 2018?

The Incredibles Pixar

Last month, more details about the upcoming animated film "The Incredibles 2" were released at the Disney D23 Expo 2015, and while no teaser trailer was shown, fans were treated to a peek at the film's official poster. On Aug. 15, more official art works for the movie were released as Disney's official Twitter account posted a picture of the sequel's logo with the caption, "Two soon," as Pixar and Disney gear up to start production on the upcoming movie.

At this point, not much is known about the upcoming film, but it was confirmed last year that director Brad Bird is on board to write and direct. Pixar head John Lasseter kept mum when asked by reporters at the D23 Expo about the film's plot, but he promised that the sequel, which had been more than a decade in the making, will be everything that fans have been waiting for.

There have been rumors that the sequel will have a big time jump, and will see Violet and Dash in their 20's while the baby of the family, Jack-Jack, will be in his pre-teen years. Meanwhile, Moviepilot speculates that the sequel will follow the "Pixar Theory" and will see the eradication of superheroes, and the most likely villain will be Artificial Intelligence bent on destroying superpowers.

Speaking to Zap2It at the Expo, Lasseter said about Bird, "He has found a really great story. We're just starting to develop it; he's now come back after 'Tomorrowland.' We're really excited about it, but I can't say much more about that."

A release date has yet to be announced for the animated film, but Lasseter's comment about why they couldn't give more information about "The Incredibles 2" hints that the film might see a 2017 or 2018 premiere date.

"We didn't talk about it today at D23 Expo because we have another D23 Expo before that one comes out," Lasseter said. "You'll hear about it in two years."

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
