Epic Games has announced new exciting expansions to the survival adventure "Fortnite."

Players of the hit video game have some new toys coming around at the Battle Royale and Save the World modes. They are also getting two new Battle Royale leaderboards and a comeback from Mutant Storms. Those and an exciting news for users of Xbox One X.

The players' new toys will come in the form of intense tactical weaponry that are sure to help them get ahead in the game. Among these are the Battle Royal smoke grenades, which can be found either randomly during floor loots or hidden in container types. These non-lethal weapons will come in handy when trying to obscure another player's vision.

Also coming to the game are the bush, a new launch pad, silenced SMG or submachine guns, and the slurp juice, which is a kind of shield potion.

Epic Games admitted in the official announcement that their leaderboards have so far been "feature limited" and they want to change that with these two additions that are set to make players even more competitive than they already are.

The Global Wins board will show the top 50 players in a specific match type based on their number of wins, while the Score board ranks players by the total amount of experience they have gained.

The game's Save the World mode is also getting some new and important items in the form of nine Vindertech weapons. Players get more chances for ticket rewards as well, with the return of Mutant Storms. Meantime, those who still have unused Halloween tickets can receive free items. Five hundred worth of unused tickets is equivalent to one Halloween llama.

Xbox One X users have another thing to celebrate as "Fortnite" now supports 4K resolution on their gaming console.

These updates and other bug fixes are part of the "Fortnite" 1.9.1 patch, which is now out.
