Michelle Rodriguez hopes that "Fast & Furious 8" would become a success even with the absence of Paul Walker and his character.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress shared how the "Fast & Furious" cast and crew need to put in more effort in the production in order for the movie to do better than "Furious 7."

According to Rodriguez, who played Letty Ortiz in the franchise, "Furious 7" only received that huge amount of support because fans wanted to pay respect to Walker.

She expressed how a fresh storyline, one that will touch the hearts of many people, should be made for the upcoming sequel to make it more interesting for viewers.

While not a lot of details on the cast have been revealed yet, Rodriguez shared some of her wishes for "Furious 8," and that includes the addition of more badass female characters.

According to her, she would love to see a stronger female presence in the movie and her top pick — none other than Angelina Jolie. Rodriguez thinks that Jolie would definitely be perfect for the movie.

As for the plot, Rodriguez stated that she wouldn't want the new movie to be the usual action movie where ladies get to engage in a catfight.

"I feel like it's time to evolve girls," the 37-year-old actress said to ET. "Let's stop hitting each other and let's stop fighting each other, and let's start getting together and ganging up on people."

Jolie isn't the only badass female character that could be an appropriate pick for "Furious 8."

The androgynous "Orange is the New Black" actress, Ruby Rose, is also reportedly being considered for a role in the new movie.

According to MoviePilot, the actress was featured in Australia's "Today Show" and despite being rejected for a role in "Furious 8" for looking like Justin Bieber, she revealed that she was negotiating with the movie production.

Rose's role in the movie has yet to be confirmed.
