Beyonce and Jay Z Grammy 2014 'Drunk in Love' performance VIDEO: Opening act of award ceremony by power couple

Hip hop/R&B power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce opened the 56<sup>th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26. 

The pair performed "Drunk in Love" together for the first time as the opening act of the 2014 Grammys.

Beyonce had not performed "Drunk in Love" live before and her performance of the new song with her husband on music's biggest night did not disappoint.

Jay Z received a Grammy award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "Holy Grail" featuring Justin Timberlake. 

In his acceptance speech, he thanked God and his wife Beyonce and dedicated the award to their daughter Blue saying, "Daddy got a gold sippy cup for you."

Beyonce released her self titled visual album on iTunes in December 2013, after the Grammy nominations were announced. The album is the fifth studio album by the former Destiny's Child member. Each of the fourteen tracks are accompanied by a short film. The album was released without prior announcement on iTunes. The album has already sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

Jay Z's "Magna Carta.. Holy Grail" album is the twelfth studio album released by the rapper. The album was certified Platinum by the RIAA after its unprecedented digital download success, which was provided free for Samsung customers.

Jay Z- and Beyonce are among the most powerful celebrity couples - they topped Forbes' list of highest earning celebrity couples last year.

Beyonce will resume her Mrs Carter Show World Tour on February 20, 2014 in Glasgow, Scotland. Her year-long tour will finally come to an end in Lisbon, Portugal on March 27, 2014.

Mrs Carter Show World Tour is one of the highest grossing tours of all time, becoming the highest grossing female tour of 2013.
