Amazon releases 'The Art of Overwatch'

Both the Standard and Limited Edition of the art book, "The Art of Overwatch," have been listed on Amazon under the price range of $29.99 and $60.

Commentaries from Blizzard's Development team and never-before-seen art of the team-based first-person shooter is featured in the art book. Fans of the game will find "The Art of Overwatch" as the best complement to the game.

Although artists for the art book were not specified, individual names of the artists might be seen inside the book. Among the art set to be seen in the special-release book will be conceptual framework for each character in the game. Like most art books, "The Art of Overwatch" will also feature imagery of the game's environment.

The official product description for the deluxe version read as follows:

"This deluxe limited edition comes packaged in a beautiful clamshell box with magnetic closure and includes an acetate slipcover featuring the game's most popular hero, Tracer, as well as two portfolios containing a total of three prints chosen by the Overwatch team! Grab your copy before the World Cup of Overwatch at Blizzcon!"

Fans can now understand the reason behind the art that is now a worldwide phenomenon. Cosplayers, gamers, and even artists will enjoy the 350-pages of sketches on the characters and weapons. Among the characters will be fan-favorite Tracer, Mercy, Widow Maker, McCree, Reaper, D.Va, and Genji. New characters like Orisia, Sombra, and Doomfist will also be part of the character list.

Artworks for game environment include Hanamura, Temple of Anubis, Route 66, Volskaya Industries, Dorado, Horizon Lunar Colony, Junkertown, Watchpoint: Gibraltar, and Eichenwalde.

From Genji's Dragonblade, Reinhardt's Rocket Hammer, Torbjorn's Forge Hammer to Winston's Primal Rage, these are just a handful of the weapons featured in the artbook.
