Technical specifications of the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 have seemingly been confirmed just weeks after images of the upcoming muscle car's powertrain were leaked online.

Last month, a photo of a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine surfaced on the web. It was rumored to be for the upcoming Shelby GT500, although there was no way of confirming this. Now, according to The Truth About Cars, Ford's OEM service portal has uploaded several wiring diagrams and service procedures that inadvertently confirm the said powertrain as well as several other features of the 2019 Shelby GT500.

The engine featured in the wiring diagrams are said to be identical to the supercharged V8 that was previously leaked.

According to the renders, the upcoming muscle car will have a massive supercharger on top of its V8 engine. However, it will continue to be port-injected as there doesn't seem to be any hardware to run direct fuel injection. Based on the layout, the engine could produce over 750 horsepower.

The diagrams also show a flexplate instead of a flywheel, indicating that the 2019 Shelby GT500 could be equipped with the new 10-speed automatic transmission that was co-developed by Ford and General Motors.

Meanwhile, the speedometer verification procedure reveals that the upcoming Shelby GT500 will have a top speed of 200 miles per hour (mph). However, it is possible that the next-generation muscle car will be even faster as the speedometer is capable of displaying up to 214 mph.

Other details revealed by the leaked documents include carbon ceramic brake pads, damper control, a drag strip setting, launch control functions and a head-up display system.

Ford has not officially announced the 2019 Shelby GT500 but the upcoming muscle car is rumored to break cover at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, which is scheduled to take place from Jan. 13 to 28.
