MAIN DUTIES: We are looking for a full-time religious worker in a non-pastoral and non-preaching role to support our existing team of senior pastors and church management committee. The successful applicant will assist the church service team for the multiple services we run in Mandarin throughout each week, including Sunday services and mid-week services. The religious worker will assist in running church cell group activities, and support the administering of weekly and monthly Christian rites and ceremonies, and maintain sanctum. Assistance in the running of Christian retreats during the summer, autumn, Christmas, new year, Easter and Pentecost will be expected. All activities will be overseen by a Senior Pastor.

The role will also include providing spiritual support for our Chinese speaking congregants, as well as assisting in a wide-range of social activities, outreach ministries, and locally-based projects that will serve and help the local community.

LOCATION: Pilgrim Hall, Uckfield, East Sussex
SALARY: £21,000 per annum; accommodation and all meals provided free of charge.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE: The successful application will have an in-depth knowledge of Evangelical church denomination ceremonies and Christian rites, and should have worked within an Evangelical church for at least 3 years in a role relevant to religious work and general church activities. It is highly preferable for the successful applicant to be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of assisting in the organising and support of Sunday services, mid-week services, baptisms, monthly mass events, desirably in the World Olivet Assembly (WOA) denomination service format. Experience in leading church fellowship groups, supporting Christian social activities and local outreach and community events is also desirable.
