'The Originals' season 4 spoilers news 2016: Klaus plots revenge on Marcel; Hope to get more screen time

Although Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) was as good as dead when fans last saw him, "The Originals" season 3 will have no shortage of the hot-headed vampire.

Morgan recently teased on Instagram that there will be "more Klaus" in the new season, suggesting that his character will soon rise again, even after what he's been through at the hands of his surrogate son Marcel (Charles Michael Davis).

The actor said in an interview with TV Overmind that, although his character understands why Marcel did what he's done, Klaus will still plot his revenge in "The Originals" season 4.

"He loves Marcel like a son and Marcel betrayed him. And some might say it I justified in doing so, I think it's been a long time coming," the actor said.

"Maybe Klaus understands a little where he's coming from. That does not mean he's going to act any less violently though to Marcel. I feel like the end is coming for these two. I'm excited to see it," he went on to say.

It looks like the upcoming season will set the stage for the ultimate battle between Marcel and Klaus, whose anger may also come from missing five years of his child's life.

Season 4 will begin with a half-decade time jump. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is still looking for a cure as she takes care of now five-year-old Hope (to be played by Summer Montana).

Klaus is still locked up by Marcel while his siblings are still stuck in the dimension they transported to in order to save their lives. As per reports, Hope, like her name, will be the hope of the family.

That being said, it looks like she is getting more screen time in "The Originals" season 4. In another Instagram video posted by Morgan, the actor said that his onscreen daughter has been a part of the family "for a while now."

"The Originals" season 4 will likely integrate Hope a little more, especially with the amount of power she possesses, she could very well be the key to everyone's safety.

"The Originals" season 4 premieres early next year on The CW.
