Ruth (Margo Martindale) will be the thorn in Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Jason's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) budding love affair in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "The Good Wife."

In "KSR," CarterMatt reports that Peter's (Chris Noth) campaign manager will enlist the help of millionaire businesswoman Courtney Paige (Vanessa Williams) to get rid of Jason. Ruth fears that Alicia's involvement with him will hinder Peter's candidacy as the next U.S. president. Peter's team has spent weeks making sure that his image with be that of a good family man and husband. If the press gets wind of the fact that his wife has a boyfriend, everything they have been laboring for will go down the drain.

To prevent future problems, Ruth will try to convince Courtney to create a bogus position in one of her business ventures and offer it to Jason. She will also have to make sure that he will be working in another state, far away from the Florrick family. While this seems like a good plan, Ruth cannot be sure that Jason will take the bait. The man is also wise to the ways of the world, and he is sure to know someone is behind the plot to separate him from Alicia. Will Ruth succeed?

Meanwhile, Alicia and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) will be involved in a controversial case. A well-known surgeon is being accused of a crime he said he did not commit. It will be the job of the two lawyers to defend him in this case. Managing a new firm has not been easy for Alicia. In the past episodes, she and Lucca have struggled to find clients to keep their company afloat. They even resorted to stealing some of Louis' (Michael J. Fox) patrons. With a high-stakes case like this, winning is everything. This can be the Godsend opportunity that they have been waiting for to launch their own label. Will they come home victorious?

"The Good Wife" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
