Fans of the highly popular animated television series "Steven Universe" were a bit shocked when the show was suddenly absent from its usual timeslot after having been declared to be on a sudden hiatus.

This had caused a lot of fans to worry about the future of the hit television series following Cartoon Network's announcement that it will be ending another show in its roster, the quirky animated cartoon series "Adventure Time." Fortunately, hopes were renewed when a brand new sneak peek video was released for the upcoming "Steven Universe" Season 4 episode.

There was apparently no advanced warnings from the network about the sudden hiatus, which was an unprecedented occurrence. The network also did not really explain why they decided to have a break from releasing new "Steven Universe" episodes and when exactly it would be returning.

Nevertheless, the recently released brand new teaser should be putting fan's minds at ease now that they know for a fact that the show is going to be coming back with new episodes very soon.

The sneak peek video was posted on a popular "Steven Universe" fan site called Bubble O' Steven. The two-minute video was for the series' eighth episode for its fourth season, titled "Gem Harvest." In the video, Steven was shown in a cornfield with Peridot and Lapis Lazuli as they harvest their pumpkins. Steven apparently created a dog-like pumpkin that came to life. His creation, however, then resented him when he brutalized another non-living pumpkin to make Peridot and Lapis happy.

While the network has yet to announce when the new episode will air, some fans are simply just happy to know that the show did not share the same fate as the series "Adventure Time."

The series' creator, Rebecca Sugar, is currently attending this year's New York Comic Con (NYCC), so more information regarding the hiatus should surface very soon as the event concludes tomorrow.
