This year's Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida landed a few days ago and the fans who have been waiting to get a sneak peek at Carrie Fisher's General Leia Organa in the upcoming eighth film of the Skywalker saga were in for a treat.

The first look at the iconic character in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" was revealed during the 40th Anniversary Panel at the Celebration. It was shown at the end of the panel through a video tribute to the late actress, which included a glimpse of her in the set of the upcoming film, with the writer and director Rian Johnson. It showed Fisher in a simple costume, which, according to Screen Rant, looks similar to the one she was wearing in a set photo that was leaked last December.

Star Wars News Net on Twitter shared a photo of the said scene from the tribute, but it does not give out much information.

Fisher, who passed away in December last year due to cardiac arrest, had finished filming as General Leia Organa in "Star Wars 8" prior to her death. The character will reportedly be bigger than what it was in the previous film, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Meanwhile, the Lando Calrissian actor, Billy Dee Williams, who appeared in "Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back" and "Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi," has shut down rumors that he will be appearing in the highly anticipated film this December. He revealed during his Smooth Talkin' With Billy Dee Williams panel at the Celebration that he will not be reprising his role as the smooth-talking smuggler in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," IGN has reported.

However, a younger version of the character played by singer-actor Donald Glover will be making an appearance in the untitled "Han Solo" film, which follows the story of young Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) before the events of the Skywalker saga.
