'Reign' season 2 spoilers: Catherine stops Mary from leaving with Condé in episode 18

Mary, Queen of Scots in "Reign" season 2

"Reign" has gone off screen for almost a month. The last episode from season 2 was aired on March 19. Fortunately, fans are days away from knowing what's next for the Queen of Scots.

The new episode titled "Reversal of Fortune" will show Mary pushing through with her plans of running off with Condé. However, Catherine learns of her intentions and does everything in her power to stop it.

In a promo for the episode, Francis looks terribly ill and Catherine has Mary to blame for his situation. The footage shows the two face to face, with the former struggling to believe that Mary had the soul to "kill him by breaking his heart."

Unfortunately, none of that matters to the Queen, who becomes king now because of Francis' illness. With that, she swears that anyone who defies her intentions will be in a great mess.

In that same promo, Mary holds her spouse's hand as she cries her eyes out. However, she has learned not to be fazed by the things that were once all that mattered to her.

In the long-awaited "Reign" installment, Mary realizes she can use her newfound power to save Scotland. Catherine, however, is determined to see no more of her affair and everything bad that goes with it, so she gets help from Narcisse to "outwit Mary at her own game."

Bash, who now owes his life to the Woman in White who saved him, will do everything to capture his killer. However, as he goes for it, he spots someone familiar lurking in the village and it looks like this person may have something to do with the attempted murder.

Episode 18 of "Reign" season 2 "Reversal of Fortune" will air on April 16.
