"Persona 5" has already launched in Japan, and it seems that it is enjoying a successful launch, going as far as boosting sales of the PlayStation 4 back to the top of the charts. In preparation for its release in the U.S., Atlus has released a brand new trailer that gives a closer look at the characters Caroline and Justine.

The official trailer focuses on the two identical girls who are stated to be the guards of the Velvet Room. Fans of the franchise will recall that the Velvet Room in "Persona 5" is radically different in comparison to the previous games' Velvet Rooms, and in this version, Caroline and Justine serve as the main guards that interact with prisoners and the main protagonist.

As shown in the trailer, called the "Cooperation" trailer, the two girls look identical, and they both wear an eye-patch over one of their eyes. The only means of telling them apart are the initials on their uniform caps and the way they fix their hair.

While they look the same the girls exhibit different personalities, and it is widely speculated that this mirrors the popular "good cop" and "bad cop" system that is often teased in movies and television shows as a means of interrogating a prisoner.

Playstation Lifestyle notes that "Persona 5" sold over 264,000 copies on the PS4 and over 72,000 for the PS3 thus far. It is also noted that the success of the game has helped the PlayStation 4 rise back up after seeing a sudden drop in sales. As of writing, the PS4 has sold over 96,000 units in the previous week.

Although the game has already been launched in Japan, it will not be rolling out in the West until early next year. Gamers in the U.S. will be able to play "Persona 5" when it is released in the region for the PS3 and PS4 on Feb. 14, 2017.
