Passion world tour returns to London this May

The Passion World Tour is returning to London on 14-15 May uniting university students from all over the city, the United Kingdom and western Europe with millions of students around the world who have experienced Passion events.

Passion’s last stop in London was May 2008 at the Hammersmith Apollo, where nearly 3,000 students and leaders joined the Passion Movement, and even more are expected this year at Wembley Arena.

Leading the worship, teaching and prayer gathering will be renowned speaker and Passion founder, Louie Giglio, as well as acclaimed artists and worship leaders Chris Tomlin, David Crowder*Band, Matt Redman, Francis Chan, Christy Nockels, and Kristian Stanfill.

Passion’s most recent gathering was Passion 2010, which was a four-day conference in Atlanta, USA that brought 22,000 students from all over the United States and 40 different countries together to lift up the name of Jesus and join the movement of a generation living for the fame of Jesus.

Thousands of students are expected from all over western Europe. Being able to worship together with thousands of their peers is part of Passion’s mission to unify Christians in their local communities and spark vision for what can happen in a city among university students when people work together for a common cause. Passion Conferences also aims to be purposeful servants helping to build up and support the established churches and ministries in each city they visit.

More than concerts alone, the Passion World Tour hopes to be a catalytic event that God can use to change the spiritual climate on the university campuses of the world. The tour is returning to seven cities from their first World Tour in 2008, which united over 100,000 students in seventeen international cities. Along with their stop in London, the Passion World Tour will head to Kyiv, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Manila Sao Paulo, and Vancouver.

Currently Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA, The Passion movement began in 1995 with a stirring in the heart of Passion founder Louie Giglio. Born out of a desire to see the 13 million college students (over 16 million today) of the nation awaken to the reality of a glorious God, the vision took shape under the leadership of men like Giglio and the board of Choice Ministries, the non-profit umbrella for Passion Conferences. Since then, tens of thousands have connected with Passion through one of the several gatherings, such as the OneDay gatherings, the Passion Experience Tour, Passion Regional events and many others. The domino effect has spawned a movement that continues to circle the globe.

Centered on Passion’s core scripture, Isaiah 26:8, the unique purpose of Passion is to gather college students from campuses and churches throughout the nation and the world, uniting them across ministry and denominational lines to seek the face of God together in worship and prayer. Affirming and valuing the work of local churches and campus ministries, Passion seeks to foster unity and connectivity among them, encouraging them to draw strength and encouragement from each other, resulting in a louder anthem of God’s renown.
