The next episode of "Once Upon A Time" season 5 titled "The Bear and the Bow" sees Merida in a predicament and Gold in a tight spot. The former was instructed by Emma to kill Belle in a bid to bring out the hero in the latter so that he will finally be able to pull out the Excalibur from the stone.

Merida, as many would have expected, isn't at all up for the job. "I tried to fight it but I couldn't," she tells Gold, who begs her not to follow what Emma wants her to do. "So now her fate rests in your hands," Merida announces as she aims her crossbow at Belle.

Indeed, Merida has another important thing to get down in this week's "Once Upon A Time" season 5 episode. This time, it doesn't involve killing but saving. In a Camelot flashback, Merlin, David and Hook storm Arthur's castle to get Lancelot out. Merida is also imprisoned there and was also freed.

However, she refuses to leave the castle just yet, not before she gets to rescue her brothers. As it turns out, Arthur is behind her siblings' capture and while Merlin promised her that they will find another way to save them, Merida goes on with the dangerous journey anyway, bringing along Belle.

Meanwhile back in Storybrooke and in the present, the heroes continue to sense something is out of place with Arthur, who fails to communicate with the missing Merlin even after being billed as one of the powerful sorcerer's chosen.

All along, the king doesn't want the group to stumble upon Merlin and so this could be his ploy to stray them. However, his move only made him a target and one that's not to trust. "Once Upon A Time" season 5 episode 6 "The Bear and the Bow" airs Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
