Fans are excited for the return of USA Network's techno thriller "Mr. Robot." Followers can expect that the second season will be different from the first one, as Elliot (Rami Malek) tries to shake off Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) again from his mind.

The "Mr. Robot" season 2 trailer offers a look at what fans can expect of the upcoming season. It shows that fsociety was successful in executing its plan in equally distributing wealth amongst the people, though it resulted in bringing the U.S. economy down. Bankruptcy notices, closing sale flyers and protests are all over the country.

The synopsis for the upcoming season says, "Following the events of fsociety's hack on multi-national company Evil Corp, the second season will explore the consequences of that attack as well as the illusion of control."

Entertainment Weekly asked Sam Esmail, the showrunner, about the things to happen in season 2. Esmail mentioned that Elliot already knows that Mr. Robot, his father, is the product of his imagination and will try to shake it off further down the story. However, it will not happen just yet.

The relationship between the two characters is pivotal for the upcoming season. Esmail said, "What you've got to understand is that when Mr. Robot and Elliot go at it, he's really going at it with himself. What I can say is that they're communicating, but it's almost under duress."

Fans expect Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer and Stephanie Corneliussen to be back in the second season of "Mr. Robot." Zap2it previously reported BD Wong's character, Whiterose, will also be back, with a much bigger role.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 premieres July 13.
