Microsoft has kept quiet about their launch date for the new Surface Pro 5, but its unveiling is already expected to happen this spring. Meanwhile, rumored features of the Pro 5 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and the Surface Dial as an accessory.

A lot of Microsoft patrons were expecting the new Surface Pro 5 to be launched in October of 2016 since the Microsoft Pro 4 made its debut in the same month of that previous year. However, that window has passed, and there are still no announcements for the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5. However, it is anticipated to be unveiled in spring this year, PC Advisor notes.

Although its presumed time of launch is delayed, it only gives Microsoft more time to prepare the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5 since the Pro 4 came out with battery issues that made their customers upset.

Microsoft has yet to release what the new Surface Pro 5 features are, but there are already many speculations on what enhancements will be added to the device. Rumors about the Microsoft Surface Pro 5's features include having the new Surface Dial as an accessory, Auto World News reports.

Although the Surface Dial is originally paired with the Surface Studio, adding it to the Surface Pro 5 allows users to have a little more flexibility with their devices. The new Surface Dial can be partnered with the Surface Pen or used directly on the screen, which allows users to simplify their tasks on the Surface Pro 5.

Another speculation suggests that the new Surface Pro 5 might be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon instead of the latest Intel processors.

Windows Developer shared on Twitter how Windows 10 was running on an ARM processor. This led to speculations that the Surface Pro 5 will follow these steps and have the Qualcomm Snapdragon system-on-chip to prevent having issues in battery life.
