Microsoft Surface Pro 4 release date: Will it 'Surface' in July or September 2015?

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is imminently coming but as most, the real question is exactly when. It would have made sense to see it come out alongside the Windows 10 OS unveiling but one has to think that it would have become a backdrop of sorts since it would be playing second fiddle to the new Microsoft operating system.

Of course gadget freaks would want to catch a glimpse of the device though it seems a bit awkward to think how a device would fit in at a conference expected to be filled with developers. Though the Surface Pro 4 could debut as a test unit but that would somehow seem impossible.

The Windows 10 OS is expected to come out somewhere towards the end of July at BUILD conference.

As far as the Surface Pro 4 is concerned, a safe bet is to look at a separate month. Rumors believe that a September release would make more sense, two months after the Windows 10 revelation. That could certainly make more sense.

And while that release date issue is up in the air, the Surface Pro 3 could be a good device to consider for now. With the device being offered at a bargain price of $150 for the i7 and i5 variants, it could be a good buy for folks who want to get some savings and check out why some folks have been impressed by the device.

As far as what to expect about the Surface Pro 4, here is a refresher.

The Surface Pro 4 will come with a keyboard accessory that allows it to be transformed from a tablet into a laptop and vice versa similar to the Surface Pro 3.

Per rumors, the Surface Pro 4 could tote either a 12-inch or 14-inch display, possibly a dual-core i5/i7 processor, 4GB of RAM, 5MP front camera, 5MP rear camera and up to 128 GB of storage.

Could these rumors entice you to buy it once it does come out? In a previous post, we did mention the price range – between $1,200 to $2,000.
