Can consumers finally get hold of the next-edition MacBook product lines before the year ends?

Based on rumors going around online, the next-generation MacBook Pro and MacBook Air will come out before 2015 ends.

The speculations about the release date of both laptops from the Cupertino tech giant started to intensify after Pike's Universum spotted a new model identifier in the company's latest OS earlier this month.

The report claims that a new Mac code AAPL951 was spotted in OS X El Capitan, which means that the new line of MacBooks could possibly come out a lot sooner than expected.

According to the report, the data found in the code is similar to the one released in the similar file of the late 2015 iMac 17, which means that it could have a trace of the new iMac.

One of the clues mentioned in the report says the code comes with 10 USB 3.0 ports. At the moment, the MacBook Pro line comes with 4 USB ports and 6 Thunderbolt 2 ports.

Another possible indicator of the looming release of the next-generation MacBook Air and MacBook Pro is the dropping prices of older models from the MacBook product lines.

Based on the press release posted on Ein News, the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro can be purchased with an instant $500 savings from B&H Photo Video retail store. It means that the device is now priced at $1,899.

Meanwhile, Best Buy will also offer a $100 gift card for every purchase of MacBook Air while Adorama presents a treat for Apple Insider readers in which they "can take advantage of a pair of exclusive deals that deliver a free Apple SuperDrive and 50% off AppleCare with Apple's early-2015 13 MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs. But despite all these rumors, it is still best to wait for an official announcement from Apple to know when the MacBook devices will finally come out.
