According to the latest wave of Los Angeles Clippers trade rumors, Blake Griffin is reportedly being traded off to the Boston Celtics.

Sean Deveney of Sporting News reports that Boston is close to striking a deal involving Griffin. However, the Clippers are not keen on letting go of Griffin without getting a good deal out of it.

It is said that Los Angeles is hoping to nab another big name player as well as some draft picks from Celtics in exchange for its star player.

Deveney says that the franchise is looking at a three-team deal, with Rudy Gay of Sacramento Kings being sent to the Clippers as well.

Meanwhile, OC Register believes that Griffin can instead opt to sign with Clippers for more years, which will be a more lucrative option for the power forward, whose stardom rose to its highest with the team.

However, the issue is that the trio of Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan might not be enough for the Clippers if they are looking to be a contender team next season.

The publication adds that even with Clippers having Gay on board and acquiring draft picks from Celtics, it might still not be great for the team's plan take over the West.

Clippers coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers has expressed his desire to have his team win next season. The team even made an attempt to get Kevin Durant, who eventually went to the Golden State Warriors.

"If the Clippers could swap Griffin for one of the NBA's elite two-way wing players or a package of players no team could refuse, perhaps their thinking would change," Dan Woike of OC Register said.

In other related news, the Clippers traded off C.J. Wilcox (with some cash) to the Orlando Magic, acquiring in exchange a 2020 second round pick and Devyn Marble, who the team immediately waived.
