In the next episode of "Knightfall," Landry (Tom Cullen) and the Knights Templar are called to arms when the Paris Temple is suddenly under siege.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "IV," were just released recently, and they show Landry finally holding the Holy Grail and presenting the once lost cup to the Templars. The knights shout with delight and approval as they lift their cups and cheer. Landry says that he is going to give the grail to Pope Boniface (Jim Carter) and go to the Vatican together to make sure it is well-guarded. However, it seems like King Philip's (Ed Stoppard) soldiers have forcefully taken the Holy Grail from the Pope and put it in the king's possession.

The soldiers then head to the Temple of the Knights Templar in order to arrest Landry and the holy warriors. It seems that the scheming William De Nogaret (Julian Ovenden) has convinced Philip to acquire the Holy Grail and take down the Knights Templar. Nevertheless, the knights will not go down without a fight. As Philip's men bang down the doors of the temple, Landry and his valiant knights prepare for the battle, and they hold out their long swords in the main hall. It remains to be seen if the cornered knights will be able to get out of the temple alive.

In the last episode, Landry and Gawain (Padraic Delaney) finally found the missing grail in a castle. Gawain attempted to kill Landry because he wanted to drink from the healing cup. However, Landry thwarted his attack and left him in the remote castle with the nuns. Gawain had wanted to be healed of his ailing right leg.

"Knightfall" season 1 episode 8 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 10 p.m. EST on the History channel.
