A new iPhone 6C concept image includes some of the specs and features of the iPhone 5C. The new render was created by the designers in 3Dfuture

The iPhone 6C concept image features a polycarbonate body in various hues, and the color matches the ring around the Home button. The form factor of the device copies the design of the iPhone 5C, which resurrects not only the 5C's specs but also the idea of having a cheaper iPhone model. What lies under the hood of the concept phone was not disclosed.

Based on previous speculations, the iPhone 6C will have a 4-inch screen display encapsulated in a plastic body. It will allegedly have an A7 processor and an M7 graphics co-processor, iOS 9, and other features that are a step behind what is expected to be Apple's upcoming flagship smartphone. In contrast to the iPhone 6C, the future iPhone 7 is said to get high-end specs and features, including a sapphire screen, an A9 processor, iOS 9, better camera, battery, and fingerprint sensor.

The aforementioned speculations stemmed from the grapevine saying that Apple will launch two smartphones starting this year and that the iPhone 6C will pack inferior specs and features in comparison with the iPhone 7's full-fledged specifications. Launching two smartphones a year is nothing new since other mobile manufacturers are already releasing two handsets each year.

Rumors are suggesting that the iPhone 6C will be released in spring, while the iPhone 7 will be launched in fall. The iPhone 6C or a cheaper iPhone is rumored to be announced with the Apple Watch, which is expected to roll out this April.

However, there is no confirmation from Apple about its upcoming devices and its roadmap.
