iPad Mini 3 release imminent as Best Buy, Target slash $100 off original iPad Mini

iPad Mini 3 release date may come soon as the first generation of iPad Mini received $100 off the price from retailers.

Best Buy now offers the 16GB non-Retina iPad Mini for only $199 from its original price of $299. The shop offers both white and space gray variants.

Target also gives away discounts to those who will buy the miniature Apple's iPad. The retailer offers the first generation of iPad Mini now at a much cheaper price. The non-retina version is now available for just $199.99, which is the lowest for iPad Mini. Target also offers the 16GB of iPad Mini with Retina display now costing $369.99 from its original price of $399.99.

This is not the first time that the previous models of iPad Mini received a discount. The tech giant itself offered the tablets at a discounted price. Recently, Apple slashed $30 off the price of iPad Air and $20 price off on the iPad Mini Retina as part of the company's educational discount. Also, the company offers refurbished units of iPad tablets, which are basically once defected yet fixed units of the device.

Buyers will usually favor and opt for the second generation of iPad Mini because the version's specs and features are paired with reasonable pricing. However, the incredibly low price of the non-Retina iPad Mini will definitely grab the attention of buyers.

Moreover, the sudden price drop on iPad tablets hinted the imminent release of their successors. One of the main indications that a new device is on its way is the plummeting price of its predecessor.

The third generation of iPad Mini is rumored to pack a TouchID fingerprint sensor, A8 processor, iOS 8 and waterproof feature. The tablet was speculated to arrive in October, which is the usual launch window of Apple's tablets. However, there were reports that the tablets could arrive earlier than usual.
