Apple fans have been highly anticipating the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3, which are expected to be unveiled in October, although it has not yet been confirmed by Apple. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPad Mini 3 will be released even earlier than expected.

"We previously thought Apple would not release a new version of the iPad mini this year, but we now think Apple will launch an upgraded version with the same form factor," Kuo said to Trusted Reviews. The Mini 3 is likely to be released in a 7.9-inch version.

Meanwhile, a thinner iPad Air 2 has been expected to be launched before the year ends, although it will still be incorporated with a resolution and screen size similar to its predecessor, the iPad Air.

According to Android Origin, both the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 may feature the Touch ID, also known as Apple's own take on fingerprint scanners. Moreover, the two devices will be integrated with the iOS 8.

"We'll also hopefully be seeing the A8 processor featured in both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus," Android Origin stated. "Apple's newest processor allows for better performance and battery life. For those of you who like to multitask, game, or frequently use your device, this is great news. Hopefully, this rids most of the lag we currently see on models of the iPad that are available on the market."

The blog also mentioned about a possible increase of up to 2GB of RAM for significant improvements in terms of performance.

Additionally, Apple's Tim Cook has already announced the company's plans of "shaking up the iPad line", particularly with a new 12.9-inch iPad that has been called the iPad Pro. Bloomberg has already reported that the tech giant has already begun its plans for its supply side "for at least a year" to prepare for production.
