The Indianapolis Colts accomplished one of their priorities this offseason just before opening their preseason against the Philadelphia Eagles reaching an agreement with wide receiver T.Y. Hilton last Thursday.

According to reports, the deal is a five-year, $65 million extension contract which has $39 million guaranteed.

Hilton's guaranteed money is the highest in the Colts roster with quarterback Andrew Luck coming in at second, with his contract giving him a guaranteed $22.1 million, according the Roster Management System, ESPN reported.

Hilton had a breakout 2014 season for the Colts and was named to his first Pro Bowl last season as he had a total of 82 receptions for 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games played in the regular season.

Last season was the second consecutive season that Hilton rushed for more than 1,000 yards.

"[The Colts] showed interest that they wanted me and I also wanted to be here. There's no place I rather be than here. This organization is great. I love being here," Hilton said Thursday, according to ESPN.

The 25-year-old athlete added that he did not want to be entering the 2015 season thinking about his contract and now that a deal is signed, he can focus on football and practice.

Meanwhile Colts general manager Ryan Grigson said in a statement after striking the deal, "It's a great day for the Indianapolis Colts, T.Y. Hilton and his family."

Grigson mentioned how happy the organization is about keeping Hilton as he becomes part of their journey for many years to come.

"His daily excellence on and off the field is a shining example of an individual striving for greatness and what it truly means to be a Colt," he added.

Hilton is one of the main options for Luck because of his speed and has been an efficient offensive contributor for Indianapolis since they drafted him 92nd overall in the 2012 draft.
