If there's one thing that Joel Kinnaman can say about "House of Cards" season 5, it is that is nowhere near as insane as the United States presidential elections in the real world.

Kinnaman played the role of Will Conway in the last season, serving as the man who made Frank aware of the insecurities he has not confronted for a while.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, he said that while "House of Cards" goes to the extreme, it does not compare to what is going on with the elections, with the actor blasting Donald Trump as being unfit for presidency.

"We haven't done anything on the show that is close to being as crazy and over the top compared to the real presidential election," the actor, who can be seen currently on the big screen in "Suicide Squad," said.

"That's scary. It seems like our fictional show is more believable than reality. That's how crazy it is," Kinnaman went on to say, recalling Trump's antics and out-and-out disrespect towards others.

Although "House of Cards" season 5 won't be as horrendous as the presidential election scene, the latest reports tease that the upcoming season will be one for the books.

If the latest rumors are to be believed, "House of Cards" season 5 won't end well for Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) as the people he endowed his trust to are reportedly turning their backs against him.

It is being reported that Claire (Robin Wright) will betray Frank and take over as the president by having Frank killed. Add to that the rumor that even Doug (Michael Kelly), who is deemed Frank's most loyal ally, will also betray the president for power.

"House of Cards" season 5 will premiere early next year.
