Hope08 Resource Manual to Provide Creative Ideas for Churches

Hope08 Resource Manual, a new publication from Authentic, will allow churches, leaders and individuals looking to make the most of the Hope08 initiative in their community to find creative ideas.

The booklet, which releases next month, aims to help readers understand how to spread the Word through word and deed in schools, colleges and to the general public, and how to work with the Government, police and the media.

Contributors include Laurence Singlehurst of Cell UK, Gavin Calver of Youth for Christ, Bible Society's Rob Cotton and Julian Richards of GWEINI.

Inspired by Soul In the City and The Message 2000 programmes, Hope08 is designed to help churches run community projects, youth festivals, family events, schools' work and lifestyle courses throughout 2008.

The project aims to be a year of united mission from every denomination across the UK.

During the Soul Survivor Tour earlier this year, Andy Hawthorne of The Message, Manchester said, "We're praying that in the year 2008 people would know that Christians are nice - that we're not bigoted, boring and miserable."

The Hope08 Resources Manual will be published on 6 July.
