Good news to "Harry Potter" fans, the teaser for "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery" is now out, giving a glimpse of the franchise's upcoming mobile video game.

The minute-long clip is reminiscent of the very first installment of the "Harry Potter" franchise when the 11-year-old Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) received thousands of mysterious letters from strange owls. Fans would recall that he was not able to read any, at least until Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) personally came to deliver his letter.

In the video game, however, Potter will not be the main character. "This is your Hogwarts story," the teaser states.

The clip adds that players would be able to master spells and magical skills by attending classes with Hogwarts' famed professors. That includes very similar replicas of Prof. Minerva McGonagall and Prof. Severus Snape.

Players can also choose their own friends as they battle their rivals.

The role-playing game, which is scheduled to launch on both iOS and Android later this year, would be a great opportunity for loyal fans to relive the magic of the famous franchise while actually living out their dream Hogwarts adventures. That includes creating personalized avatars, choosing pets, getting sorted into houses, and discovering the school's many mysteries.

Polygon says there will also be relationship quests for those hoping to create their own love lines within the "Harry Potter" world.

According to game developer Jam City, the game is set in the time between Harry Potter's birth and his enrollment at Hogwarts, that is when his future mentors -- Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley were still students.

This means that while the young Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley are alive somewhere, they will not be in Hogwarts to rain on any player's parade.

No specific date yet for the release of "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery," but those who are hoping to try it before its launch can do so at "A Celebration of Harry Potter" on Jan. 26 to 28 at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.
