'Grimm' season 5 episode 11 spoilers: Nick and Monroe go overseas while Black Claw puts in motion a deadly attack in 'Key Move'

Nick and Monroe pursue a long-standing mystery outside of Portland in "Key Move" NBC

"Grimm" season 5 is taking a break this week, but when it returns next month, the horror fest fans came to love about the show will be up a notch. The next episode is called "Key Move" and it sees Nick and Monroe on a "crusade."

According to the synopsis for "Grimm" season 5 episode 11, the duo will get their hands on artifacts that could be the key to a big mystery that has long been plaguing some folks outside of Portland. Nick and Monroe decide to travel overseas to solve this puzzle once and for all.

Their dangerous trip puts them right at the heart of evil. The sneak peek for next week's "Grimm" season 5 sees the two in a church, which a map (one of the artifacts they came by) points them to. The clip shows menacing creatures, including a priest who can transform into a monster at will.

"The farther they get from home, the closer they get to evil," the voiceover in the promo says. Upon getting inside the church, Nick and Monroe quickly become targets of the creatures that lurk in the place, such as the sniper who appears to be half-bird, half-human.

Apart from the fact that they are entering the lion's den, Nick and Monroe's journey outside of Portland will be taken advantage by the Black Claw. In "Grimm" season 5 episode 11, the group will be making a "deadly move" that could potentially send the city in complete chaos.

It remains to be seen what the group is cooking up but taking into account Nick and Monroe's absence, Portland will be extra difficult to defend from the killer group. Of course, there's still Eve, Trubel and the rest of the crew but it sounds like the Black Claw has the upper hand this time.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 11 "Key Move" airs Friday, March 4 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
