'Frozen 2' sequel release in 2018, Disney hopes to replicate 'Frozen' success

Characters from the Disney film "Frozen"

"Frozen 2" is now underway and Disney is said to be taking steps slowly and carefully in working up the film so as to replicate and even top the mega success of the original film. This means that it will take a while for the highly-anticipated sequel to sing its way to the silver screen.

The flick is said to come out in 2018, which is three years from now. Master Herald says that Idina Menzel, the voice behind the hit soundtrack "Let It Go," is very excited about the sequel but is unable to provide details because the development process is still in the early stages.

This does not stop fans from speculating what is next for the lovable gang in Arendelle. For one, it is said that Elsa will find love in the snowman Olaf. There are rumors that Prince Hans will return a changed man and will help protect the kingdom alongside the people he once deluded.

Indeed, it is too early to tell what "Frozen 2" will be all about. Fans have a long wait ahead of them, which won't be quenched until details about the film slowly trickle in and the production is set in motion. For now, fans can take refuge in a new "Frozen"-themed attraction at Walt Disney World in Florida.

An attraction called Frozen Ever After is being built in the Epcot Theme Park for fans who want to explore Elsa's icy world. It is said that the place is being modeled like Arendelle, which visitors will get to enjoy via a four-minute ride.

They will get to see Olaf as well as Kristoff's trustee reindeer Sven and, further along the ride, they will get to listen to Elsa sing "Let It Go" in her very own castle. The snowy spectacle will be the closest thing to "Frozen" fans will get to experience.

"Frozen 2" will be released in 2018, enough time for Disney to create the stellar sequel fans expect it to be.
