A lot of exciting changes will happen in FOX Network's series lineup for the coming 2015-2016 TV season. For starters, the network announced over the weekend that "Minority Report" and "Lucifer" will debut in the coming season.

"Minority Report" is the TV adaptation of Steven Spielberg's international blockbuster film with the same title released in 2002. It delves into the unexpected partnership between a man who is being followed by his highly dangerous future and a female cop who is running away from her past. Together, they have to hurdle all obstacles to prevent the biggest crimes in 2065 before they even happen. 

The sci-fi drama stars Stark Sands as the precog Dash and Meagan Good as the female cop. They are joined by Wilmer Valderrama, Lauran Regan, Daniel London, Li Jun Li, and Nahanni Johnstone. There is no information yet about the official release date of the show. 

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. TV collaborated with Jerry Bruckheimer Television to come up with the crime horror series "Lucifer" based on Neil Gaiman's comic book series titled "The Sandman" from DC Comics. 

The series focuses on the life of Lucifer, the bored and miserable Lord of Hell who resigns from his post to move to Los Angeles, where he finds joy in punishing the criminals caught by the LAPD. 

The show stars Tom Ellis in the title role of Lucifer. Joining Ellis are Lesley-Ann Brandt as Lucifer's lover Maze, Lauren German as homicide detective Chloe Dance, and Nicholas Gonzales as Dan. 

Lucifer is slated to premiere in 2016. 

Earlier, FOX also ordered several series that will feature popular actors. One of them is the single-camera legal comedy "The Grinder," which stars Rob Lowe as the actor-turned lawyer; while the other one, a comedy titled "Grandfathered," stars John Stamos as the perennial bachelor whose life suddenly takes a big turn when he finds out that he has a son, not to mention a granddaughter after his son had a one-night stand.  

The network also announced their series commitment to a medical drama called "Rosewood" that stars Morris Chestnut as the highly optimistic private pathologist who becomes a favorite of the Miami police department.

Howard Gordon's modern adaptation of the classic Gothic tale titled "The Frankenstein Code" was also ordered recently, and it tells the story of a morally corrupt cop named Jimmy Pritchard who is given a second lease in life when he is brought back from the dead. The series stars Rob Kazinsky from "True Blood." 

Also, a six-episode comedy series titled "The Guide to Surviving Life" was ordered, and it follows the lives of the characters played by Meaghan Rath and Jack Cutmore-Scott who just graduated from college. 

On the other hand, FOX Network cancelled several shows to give way to the new line-up, including "The Following," "Backstrom," "Mulaney," "Utopia," and the highly popular "The Mindy Project."
