"Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" will be coming back for its third season soon, and fans are getting hyped over the new season since the speculated twists and turns of the plot promises more food battles and more thrilling drama for the hit cooking anime.

Last year, "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" promised its viewers that it will be renewed for a third season, and according to recent speculations, "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" will be airing its third season sometime in 2017. As of now, there is still no news as to how many episodes the anime will get for the upcoming season, but rumors suggest that the show will be having 13 episodes for season 3.

As for the speculated plot for "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" season 3, it is said that Erina's father will be replacing her grandfather as the headmaster of Totsuki Academy.

It is also said that the new headmaster will have new plans for the Academy, including the termination of research societies to save funds. Because of this, Erina will be forced to move to the Polar Star Dormitory with Yukihira Soma. Rumors also suggest that Erina and Yukihira will be fightin the new system to bring back the research society.

Furthermore, fans can also expect more shokugeki invitations to be thrown at Yukihira, and for each showdown, he will continue to show his specialty dish skills and continue to produce mouth-watering dishes.

What's more is that since the former arc ended with first years having equal grounds with second years, viewers can expect all Totsuki students, regardless of year, to go against one another in free battle.

As of now there is still no official air date announced for "Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma" anime season 3, and fans will just have to wait until 2017 to figure out the exact air date of the third season for the show.
