Duck Dynasty musical coming to Las Vegas in the spring

The Duck Commander Family Musical will invade the Las Vegas Rio Hotel and Casino this Spring.

It has been confirmed: The Duck Commander Family Musical will invade the Las Vegas Rio Hotel and Casino this Spring!

Korie Robertson, wife of Duck Commander CEO Willie has just posted on her Instagram account (@bosshogswife) a photo of her and her husband during an interview with Fox News with the caption, "Yes we are! And excited to announce The Duck Commander Family Musical opening in Vegas this spring! More details coming soon."

During the interview, Willie revealed that the musical will be all about redemption. "It's about all these decisions we had to make in our life and overcoming and ending up being on TV and all that. It's a great story and it's pretty powerful."

"When we heard the first four songs played for us, Willie and I cried," Korie added. "We boo-hooed like babies... It's the story of the American dream."

According to Us Weekly, the musical will be based on the book, The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty, written by Willie and Korie Robertson. It will follow the couple's lives and the rest of the Robertson clan, and share how they built the Duck Commander empire to what it is today.

Korie even assured parents that the musical will be fun and kid-friendly. "It's gonna be cool and it'll be another play that people can take their kids to," she explained. "We love to go to musicals when we go to New York...We're excited!"

The show will feature music and lyrics by Robert Morris, Steven Morris, and Joe Shane, who is responsible for the musical White Noise. Choreography and directing will be manned by Jeff Calhoun of Newsies, Grey Gardens, and Grease fame.

However, don't expect the Robertson family themselves to be singing and dancing on stage. They will be portrayed by theatre actors, although no cast details have been revealed yet.

Willie and Korie did tease that there was an actor who actually "nailed" the role of Uncle Si.
